The cocos2d-iphone game engine is the premier 2D game engine for iPhone game developers. Sometimes, it can be a tough nut to crack. You may also find yourself struggling with Objective-C, Xcode, Cocoa Touch or the iPhone SDK in general, including Code Signing and App submissions - I know I did! This website is dedicated to cracking the cocos2d nut and getting your game out there!

cocos2d Tutorials, FAQs, Free Source Code and much more is what you’ll find here:

  • Tutorials & FAQs about cocos2d, Xcode, Objective-C, Game Development and more

Most Tutorials you’ll find on the Internet are outdated, incomplete or confusing. I know how to make great Tutorials but i also know creating a compelling Tutorial takes time and a lot of effort. I’m going to have to charge for more Tutorials but i’ll offer a 90+ pages Tutorial for free: creating a Professional cocos2d Xcode Project Template. I think it’s the definitive work on how to setup cocos2d and Xcode for professional game development. I’ll send you this Xcode Project for free when you join my Newsletter:

While I do answer questions in the cocos2d forum and there is an official cocos2d FAQ i like to maintain and grow my own FAQ. There are a lot of tiny details and questions from other developers that deserve a concise yet visual step-by-step explanation.

I’m sharing my free source code collection for cocos2d. It mostly consists of polished and bugfixed or even completely rewritten code that i obtained from other bloggers or wrote myself. I actually used that code in published projects, so it works and i try my best to maintain it in a working state. You can grab the free source code from the Codaset git repository and if you want to, you are welcome to contribute to it!
